Take-Two (parent company of 2K) has revealed that 3.7 million copies of BioShock Infinite have been shipped to retailers to-date. While this number doesn’t account for the exact number actually sold through to consumers, Take-Two notes that Infinite “enjoyed significantly higher first month sell-through than any other BioShock release.”
BioShock Infinite’s Season Pass has also seen “solid demand” according to Take-Two, with CEO Strauss Zelnick noting that he’s pleased with the attach rate thus far.
“With BioShock Infinite, Borderlands 2, NBA 2K13 and XCOM: Enemy Unknown, our 2K label released four of the past year’s most critically acclaimed titles,” Zelnick said. “Our commitment to delight consumers with the highest-quality interactive entertainment experiences enabled Take-Two to have an outstanding year, despite a challenging environment for many in our industry.”
Previously, BioShock Infinite led U.S. sales for March despite only being available in the month's final week.
