The Avengers' Samuel L. Jackson is now set to play the U.S. President in director Jalmari Helander's action-adventure Big Game.
According to THR, the story centers on a 13-year-old boy who is tasked with braving the wilderness overnight and returning home with a prize to prove himself. But, when Air Force One is taken out by terrorists, the boy discovers the President (Jackson) in a crashed escape pod. The two soon team up to escape the terrorists.
Production is scheduled for late summer in Finland and Germany. Helander and Petri Jokiranta will produce under the duo's Subzero banner, with Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Dredd) executive producing. Altitude Film Entertainment and Germany's Egoli Tossell Films will co-produce.
