Android geeks, get ready! Today at Google I/O, the company has announced one of the most anticipated and requested products: a Samsung Galaxy S4 with the stock version of Google's Android OS.
But be prepared to pull out your wallet, because that luxury will cost you $649.
Compatible with both AT&T and T-Mobile Networks, the Galaxy S4 has the top-of-the-line hardware of the traditional model, but with a sleek and minimalistic software that echoes the experience of Google's Nexus 4. Say goodbye to TouchWiz and all of Samsung's proprietary apps — the 16GB phone instead comes with the Android rooter's dream, BootLoader. Google has also promised it will receive all future updates at time of launch.
Of course, the biggest downside to the sleek and sexy software is its price. Hardcore Android fans will have to cough up an extra $449 on the spot for the pleasure of the Nexus experience. If that doesn't faze you, the phone should be available in June directly through Google's Play Store, similar to its other hardware offerings.
What do you think of Google's stock Galaxy S4 (and it's price)? Let us know in the comments.
