At this point it's hard to imagine Green Lantern without Geoff Johns at the helm. After all, the writer has been steering the franchise since Green Lantern: Rebirth kicked off in 2004. But that nearly decade-long run is finally coming to an end in Green Lantern #20 last month as Johns caps off the "Wrath of the First Lantern" crossover. This oversized issue features a 55-page main story from Johns and artist Doug Mahnke, with other contributions from artists like Ethan van Sciver, Ivan Reis, and Patrick Gleason.
"I'm extremely grateful for being able to conclude our run on Green Lantern with this monster of an issue," Johns told DC's Source Blog. "I'm moving on feeling very proud of what my creative collaborators and I have done over the years with the Green Lantern universe. Thanks to all the readers out there who've been with us for this adventure. I can't wait until #20 is in your hands -- the last several pages in particular."
DC has released a preview of Johns and Mahnke's main story. Look for Green Lantern #20 to hit stores on May 22.
