Warner Bros. has announced the fifth expansion for The Lord of the Rings Online, Helm's Deep, due out this autumn.
The expansion will continue to evolve the free-to-play MMO's ongoing story into the western plains of Rohan, as well as raise the level cap ten levels to 95. As you can probably guess, it'll also offer players a chance to play a role in the familiar battle.
Executive producer Kate Paiz said, "With Helm’s Deep, we’re bringing the War of the Ring to players on a monumental scale. Our team is thrilled to create another iconic moment in Middle-earth, and put players in the centre of the action."
The last expansion for the game, Riders of Rohan, released in September 2012, while the expansion before that, the Rise of Isengard, released in the same month in 2011. Nothing's set in stone but it wouldn't be hugely surprising to see Helm's Deep arrive around the same time this year.
