Star Wars: The Old Republic May Make Cathar Playable

Star Wars: The Old Republic could be preparing to announce the Cathar as a playable race, if a new teaser image is to be believed.

The image, which can be seen below, was posted on the game's official Facebook page without a caption and the sliver of face in shot looks suspiciously like it belongs to one of the feline race.

While the Cathar are already present in the game as NPCs and companions, players are currently unable to make Cathar characters. But while the above image suggests this may be about to change, it isn't clear whether everyone will be able to make their very own space kitty or if the race will have to be purchased through the Cartel store like most of the other more exotic species.

Players of the original Knights of the Old Republic will remember Juhani, the troubled padawan you could redeem or torment, was one of the Cathar race. The species is known for being incredibly battle-ready, though this unfortunately led to the Mandalorians seeking them out to prove their dominance. As a result, few Cathar survived and those that did struggled to rebuild the race in different corners of the galaxy.

What do you reckon? Would you pleased with playing as a Cathar or would you have preferred to see another race come to the game first? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Cheers, PCGamesN!
